Why U2? When it comes to music U2 is my favourite band. I have listened to their music since 1988 and been to three concerts in Copenhagen. The first one was "Zooropa tour" in 1993. A friend and I went and we didn't regret it, because it was an amazing show. We were standing right in the front row in front of ADAM, so it couldn't have been much better. I think it was a great show both when it comes to show and music and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I especially think the satellite connection to Bosnia was very moving. I also went to the "Pop Mart Show" in 1997, which was also a good show, but I don't think the music was as exiting as the Zoo Tv show, I don't know if it was because they chose more slow songs this time, but the stage and screen made up for it. The last one I went to was "Elevation Tour" in Forum this year. You can read about that concert in my Copenhagen 2nd night section. As a teenager I didn't really like U2, but then I went to England on this sport course back in the late 80's. We stayed in London the first two days in this crappy hotel close to Hyde Park, but who cares we were teenagers, no big deal. Well anyway, we had these things we had to go see, and one of them was this U2 laser show at some planetarium, I thought "Oh great what a way to waste an afternoon". But after the show I thought well that music wasn't all that bad when you don't see them, so I ended up buying "Rattle and Hum" and "War" and since then the collection has slowly grown. Sometimes it's the lyrics that makes me love the songs but other times it is the music itself. The reason I like U2 is that they make good music and throw surprises at you every now and then and they are, of course, the best LIVE BAND around. They know how make the music sound new but still manages to keep the 'old' sound, but I must admit the first time I heard 'Zoo Station/Achtung Baby' I thought "What the hell is this?, Is my walkman broken or is my battery low?" It just sounded so different from what you were used to and you what expected. Who is my favourite U2 guy? It's hard to write why I like U2 in particular, I just do, so I'll stop here. U2 isn't the only band I listen to (believe it or not). I also listen to D.A.D.
What I do when I don't listen to music I go play dart/pool, play guitar, work on this site, stuff like that. I like to watch/read: TV: Movies: My favourite actores are: Al Pacino, John Malkovich, John Lithgow, Tom Hanks, Jimmy Smits, Sean Connery, Michelle Phiffer and Jodie Foster. Books: The Shining (Stephen King), The Vision (Dean Koontz). Basically anything that is written by Dean Koontz. My name is Mona-Lisa Williams and I'm 27 a years old, married to Ian Mark for 4 years now, no children, I guess that's why I have time to maintain this site. My area of work is secretarial/office work. I play guitar and write songs/poems in my free time along with maintaining this site. I'm the kind of person who will make a pizza in a restaurant when we go out to eat or ask some guy if I can sit on his shoulders (because I can't see the stage) when we go to see DAD in concert or walk into the men's room because I don't pay attention of where I am going. There really isn't much more to say about me, so I'll just leave you with some pictures of my family.
